Hi Everyone,

Having been away on Erasmus last year I realised the importance of the International Officer for International Students. I helped out with the incoming visiting students’ welcome programme at the beginning of the year and realised that this was something that I really wanted to continue.

My role involves ensuring equality for International Students in every aspect of UCC life. I have taken the view that the role can be much much more too so I believe I should help International Students to integrate into college life, to meet Irish students, to learn about Irish culture and to allow an opportunity for the Irish students to learn about other cultures too.

There are a number of staff and student led initiatives to help integrate International Students and I would like to highlight all of these efforts, contribute to them and ensure that International Students studying in UCC have an unparalleled experience!
